The art of training while innovating...

This week, I left my CEO role for that of mentor. For four days, I accompanied students from EEMI - L'École Européenne des Métiers de l'Internet in an intensive workshop. The objective? Immerse them in real conditions for creating a website from scratch.

It was not just an academic exercise. They had to think like real professionals: understand customer expectations, develop a strategy, and deliver a successful site. During these 21 hours, the students used the same tools and methodologies as at Noqode to design projects in line with market expectations. And believe me, it was a big challenge!

In real conditions: A workshop aligned with Noqode standards

Our methods at the heart of the workshop

From day one, students have been immersed in our professional ecosystem. There is no question of making them follow a traditional path: they worked with the tools and methodologies that we use daily at Noqode to deliver efficient sites, and this, in a short time.

  • Project Management with Asana : To follow deadlines, assign tasks and collaborate effectively, as we do in our customer projects.
  • Figma with variables and design system : This approach showed them how to structure and optimize their designs to gain speed and ensure the scalability of projects.
  • Webflow and its styleguide : Dynamic development, animations, technical SEO... They discovered the importance of a solid structure from the design stage.

A key element in the success of this workshop: the expertise of Tiphaine Durand, who supported the students throughout the Webflow development part. Its methodical approach allowed participants, who had never used this tool before, to quickly master its fundamentals and specificities. She also knew how to transmit the best technical practices to them, showing them how to structure a site to ensure its scalability and performance. His role was decisive. in the success of projects. This workshop offered them a complete methodology: from the SXO strategy to the final delivery of a functional and optimized website.

The challenges of students, a revelation

On Monday morning, one sentence stuck with me: “On Figma, we mostly know how to make circles and rectangles.” How do I tell you? I had a little moment of doubt! Our Figma designs, especially with advanced variables and systems, may seem complex at first. But in less than two days, they knew how to master these tools. And the results have surpassed my expectations.

As for Webflow? No students had worked with this tool before. However, at the end of the workshop, they delivered functional sites integrating CMS, animations and optimized SEO tags. That's when I realized: with the right method, you can learn quickly and well.

Concrete projects, promising results

Three projects, three unique worlds

The students were divided into three groups, each with a different project:

  1. A showcase site on Greek mythology : Designed to integrate a blog and an interactive quiz in order to engage visitors.
  2. An educational site for an NGO : Offering personalized courses to train and raise awareness on the ground in Africa.
  3. A site dedicated to classic cars, specialized in Porsche : Designed with detailed sheets for each model, optimized for SEO.

These projects were not just an exercise: they were designed to be sustainable in the long term. Each site can federate a community, generate organic traffic and even, why not, be monetized in the long run.

An apprenticeship that goes beyond the academic framework

From the beginning, I emphasized the importance of designing results-oriented sites: a solid strategy at the outset, a functional design, and SEO optimizations from the first version. The students understood that it was not simply “delivering a site”, but designing a digital tool that meets concrete objectives.

And their enthusiasm? Contagious. Each deliverable was not only in line with, but often beyond expectations.

To train is to transmit a methodology and a vision

At Noqode, we know that a successful site starts well before the first line of code. That's what I wanted to pass on to them. A well-thought-out SXO strategy changes everything : it structures the project and ensures that each element contributes to a specific objective.

Through this workshop, the students learned to master each step of the process:

  • Digital strategy and wireframes on Figma.
  • To the design of a scalable design system.
  • Until integration on Webflow, with a focus on technical SEO.

Feedback from students and managers

The feedback has been extremely positive. The students left with applicable skills, and their projects became real showcases of their know-how. My former educational managers, Yoann Barrier and Adrien Morin, were thrilled to see such professional results.

Conclusion: An experience that feeds expertise

Training is not only a transmission exercise. It is also an opportunity to perfect your own methods, to go back to the basics and to remember why you are doing this job. This week at EEMI reminded me why I am passionate about the web: it is a mixture of innovation, collaboration, and surpassing myself.

At Noqode, we will continue to push our limits to deliver sites that combine performance, scalability and impact. And to transmit this vision? It is a mission that I take as much to heart as creating. 💜
